Excluding files and folders from Real-Time scans in iolo AntiVirus

Step-by-step Instructions
- Open iolo AntiVirus™
- Click the Settings link located on the red bar menu.
- Ensure that the Real-Time tab is selected.
- Under Specify What to Scan>Select specific files and folder types to include or exclude locate the two options for setting up exclusions, Excluded Folders and Excluded File Masks.
- To exclude a folder, click the corresponding Change link. Click the Add button, then browse to the folder you wish to exclude and click OK to add it. When you are finished adding folders, click Done.
- To exclude a file mask, click the corresponding Change link. Click the Add button, then enter the name of the file, or file extension you wish to exclude and click OK to add it. When you are finished adding file masks, click Done.
- Select or clear the Scan archives option, depending on preference. For more information regarding this option refer to the product help file.
- Click Save when you are finished making exclusions. Your Real-Time scans will no longer find or remove these files or folders for any reason.
